Gatan Caron
Entitled Marin Headlands, archival limited edition print on paperis by contemporary Mendocino/Bay Area artist, Gatan Caron (b. 1964), co-founder of in San Francisco. Gatan lives and works in his off-the-grid home located in an heirloom orchard in the Mendocino hills of Northern California, a stone’s throw from the wild California Coast. His work documents the textures, colors, forms, as well as monochromatic shadows and reflections found in the natural world through contemporary abstract, botanical, still life, landscape, seascape, and Fine Art photography. A French speaking native of Qubec, Canada, Gatan returns back East regularly, traveling also across Europe, especially France, and to Hawaii for artistic inspiration. His favorite tropical island in Hawaii is the Big Island where Gatan likes to go once a year in the winter to get his fill of the fire, air, water and earth energy he recognizes as particularly powerful for his art.

Framed in a contemporary maple wood frame using white spacers behind plexi. Signed and titled in the plate and individually numbered by hand.
