Forrest Hibbits
This 1965 airbrush and tempera paint on paper monochrome abstract entitled, Figure is by California artist Forrest Hibbits (1905-1996). Hibbits graduated from the California College of Arts and Crafts. He exhibited at SFMOMA, the de Young Museum, the Oakland Museum of Art, and the Legion of Honor. Hibbits worked as a commercial artist at Patterson & Sullivan, a San Francisco ad agency in the 1920s-1930s.
